Metro New York Emphasizes

You may not be a disaster relief worker. You may not be able to hug survivors in Queens or Staten Island, comforting those who are huddled in tents after Hurricane Sandy swept away their homes. But you can do two practical things -- pray and donate.

People still need food, shelter, heat and power in many devastated waterfront
communities in New York and New Jersey, along with thousands of others on the East Coast. Call your local churches and city organizations to see where your money or supplies would be most helpful.

Most importantly pray for the storm victims. Pray for the relief workers and government agencies assigned to help. Ask God to extend his hand of mercy over the 24 affected U.S. states, and the other six affected countries, in particular Haiti, where over 50 people lost their lives.

Psalm 118:5 says, “I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.” Metro New York Men's Prayer Ministry knows the Lord answers when you call, so we invite you to join us in continual prayer for the suffering, confused or angry Sandy victims.  We pray that God will give hope, even joy, during this trying time.
