METRO NEW YORK MINISTRY MOURNS
WITH THE VICTIMS AND FAMILIES
OF NEWTOWN, CT
Our hearts are severely saddened by the senseless tragedy that took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday December 14, 2012. We extend our deepest sympathy to the families of all victims; the parents, grandparents and siblings of the young victims whose lives were so unexpectedly and abruptly snatched away and all others affected by this calamity.

"Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted" (Matt. 5:4). It is our prayer and fervent desire in this hour that these words of our Lord press home to the hearts of the shattered, heartsick community where this vile deed took place. We pray that our Savior will comfort those whose lives have been forever changed and grant them His peace and His strength during this unspeakably difficult time.
God's Word reminds us that the 'love of many will grow cold' (Matt 24:12) as the nearness of His coming becomes more real. As the winds of strife begin to blow..."Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised".
Hebrews 10:23.

Let us all endeavor to share, even amidst these tragedies, the love and hope that can only be found by abiding in Jesus Christ.
"Surely I come quickly". Amen, even so, come, Lord Jesus'. Rev. 22:20
